If you are reading this you probably already know about the posts regarding Materia Collective and GameChops.
I want to clear the air a bit and mention that me and Chris or DJ Cutman have been friends long before we had business issues. Even though i mentioned he originally had my music on bandcamp back in the day, we did work it out and he offered to cover any losses once he understood the issue. The reason GameChops even exists, was partially because he wanted to make that whole Bandcamp thing right and legal. Slowly but surely the label birthed into what it is now, which is a great platform for game covers and remixes with a mega following. I want to say that I shouldn't have tweeted those things out, I should have reached out to Chris personally and resolved my issues with him. I would say to anyone reading to not slander and try working it out, always. We are all just people with emotions at the end of the day.
We weren't talking for a couple years because I had a manic break and pretty much ripped into him publicly on facebook for not paying me CD money. NOT COOL OF ME! My meds weren't working anymore and I had extreme emotions. I did apologize for doing it, and once again Chris tried to make it right by not only paying me what he owed me for CDs, but apologize for any harm he caused me emotionally and asked for forgiveness. In fact he is square with everyone when it comes to CDs now. However, we stopped working together after that. Understandably.
This is why I deleted my tweets. Chris reached out to me personally and wanted to make my grievances right with him. We patched up the holes and he explained some of the issues I had, he wasn't even aware of. So of course he is doing everything he can to make it right with me even though we don't work together anymore. He ended up doing with my Klang Soundtrack what he wanted to do with the GameChops albums which is an advance of $100 to the artist, with any donations going to charity. So that means the Klang soundtrack is pay what you want on the GameChops bandcamp (in lieu of the Klang 2 Demo being released)
I would say for anyone reading, please don't hate GameChops, or DJ Cutman. He has a very soft and gentle soul. He just tends to jump the gun sometimes, and for this I can say he is forgiven because he had enough integrity to make things right. We the artists, all still get paid by GameChops' success so it would only hurt the artists to not support the label. What Chris has created is a good thing and he is not the same business man now, that he was before, so he deserves that forgiveness. He extended it to me as well and that's why I wanted to share it with you, so you could give everything another chance and not feed into drama and miscommunications.
